Learning Creative Skills
We require volunteers to support people with an intellectual disability with arts and crafts, cooking and other daily activities.
What we do: -
The Learning Creative Skills provides learning opportunities to people with a disability to develop quality art work for exhibition in order to sell their works.
Arts and crafts, computing, music, gardening, and social interaction. The Art program is structured to operate as a social enterprise, meaning revenue derived from the program’s activities is invested back into the program to increase its artistic and social outcomes
We provide round the clock support to assist participants in their own homes to live as independently as possible with daily needs, assistance with personal care, health issues, and housekeeping chores.
Learning Creative Skills provides Support Coordination to help participants understand their NDIS Plan and get the support they need to achieve their NDIS goals. This includes helping them understand the management of their NDIS plan.
You must be passionate about people with a disability, have a positive attitude, be caring, creative, computer literate, have good communication skills in writing and in speaking English, have an ability to work with people from non English background.
Days: Monday to Thursday negotiable
Hours: 10am to 3 pm
National Police Check is required
Driving Licence required
