The hostess of the Lunch Club supports older residents to participate in and to maintain meaningful social connections. The Lunch Club is held fortnightly on a Monday, where together, the group visit a range of venues within Gawler.

As a hostess, a volunteer may assist by:

• Assisting in the coordination and facilitation of activities and outings
• Provide transport to and from the activity
• Provide assistance with mobility, when required (eg. supporting someone to get into and mobilise around venues)
• Providing and encouraging companionship and support amongst the members

Satisfactory Screening checks are a requirement and can be organised by the Town of Gawler at no cost to the volunteer.

Reimbursement for approved out of pocket expenses.
