Community Connector Volunteer
We are looking for a volunteer to help create a warm, inclusive monthly Community Lunch by welcoming participants, starting conversations and helping people connect.
You will be needed monthly on Tuesdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Duties
- Welcome participants and introduce people with shared interests.
- Start conversations, encourage social interaction and help people feel included.
- Support table games and social activities during the lunch.
- Notice participants who may feel isolated or anxious and notify staff where appropriate.
- Create a friendly, respectful atmosphere
- NB the role does not provide personal care or counselling.
Additional Information
- Regular volunteer role, more than 6 months; monthly Tuesday sessions, 11 am-4 pm.
- Warm, approachable and a good listener; communicates patiently and respectfully.
- On-site parking available and location is close to public transport.
- Wheelchair accessible venue;
- volunteer works alongside staff and other volunteers.
