Internship description: The intern will assist the department with: 1) gathering, validating, analyzing, visualizing, presentation and reporting of demographic, economic and geographic data; 2) collection of existing economic research and surveys; and 30 the copywriting, copyediting, photography and asset collection involved in creating reports, presentations and print and digital collateral promoting the department's projects and programs.  This internship offers valuable work experience to a senior-level undergraduate or graduate student with a strong interest in community and economic development; outstanding writing and analytic skills; and an academic specialty in but not limited to: Economics/Econometrics, Public or Business Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, Statistics/Data Analytics, Finance, Journalism and/or related fields.  Students with advanced research skills and analytic proficiency in conducting economic and demographic analyses are requested.  High proficiency in writing, large dataset analyses and ArcGIS geospatial map creation and analyses are highly desired.
