Internship description: The intern position will be working in the Transportation Engineering Operations Division. This position is looking for candidates currently in school pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or other engineering degree. The intern will assist Civil and Traffic Engineers on transportation related projects including evaluating for improvements to the traffic signing, striping, and pavement markings on City streets, evaluating for changes to the on-street parking conditions, and evaluating locations for new traffic signals, roundabouts, road humps, flashing beacons and electronic speed signs. The intern will also work with databases and collision analysis software.
