Internship description: Provide support to Water Distribution Engineering team. The intern will work under the direct supervision of an Associate Civil Engineer. Duties include but are not limited to: perform basic hydraulic engineering calculations to support operational functions; assist in reviewing technical reports, proposals, and design submittals; prepare exhibits; conduct field inspections and site visits; perform basic engineering calculations; collect technical data to conduct engineering studies; assist in preparation of letters and memos; coordinate with other City departments and various agencies; coordinate facility shutdowns; assist in preparation of punch list; perform admin tasks and other duties as assigned. Training will be provided. A unique opportunity to have direct experience and learn the complex operations of the water distribution system.
