Pet Assisted Storyteller: Paws to Read Saturdays 11am-12pm
Pet Assisted Therapy Storytelling is a very simple concept: Children read to dogs. The dogs listen and don’t tease, laugh, or judge the child. Pet Assisted Therapy Storytelling provides a positive, nonthreatening, fun environment to support literacy. Candidates must be members of Love on a Leash. 1. Communicate story time behavior expectations.
2. Direct interaction with dog and children.
3. Collaborate with library staff in selection of materials for story time.
