How you will contribute as part of the TRCA Volunteer team:

As a Garden Volunteer, you will assist TRCA Gardening staff in caring for The Allan Foster Garden Project.

The Allan Foster Garden is a 0.5-hectare designed meadowscape. It is planted with native grasses and wildflowers showcasing a diversity of plants endemic to Southern Ontario meadows, strategically arranged to support local wildlife, demonstrate native plant gardening, and provide a place for the local community to meet and enjoy nature.

This garden project is named in honour of Allan Foster, an expert naturalist, botanist, and storyteller, in recognition of his significant contributions to the Kortright Centre during his 30-year career as Supervisor of Education.

This volunteer opportunity is a terrific way to get outdoors, connect with others, and be active!
