Who we’re looking for:
Energetic, dedicated, and community-minded individuals, aged 12 to 24 who are full of ideas and want to make a meaningful difference.
What is the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)?
YAC is a dynamic team of young leaders who collaborate with city staff, local organizations, and the community to help make Mississauga a welcoming, inclusive, and exciting place for youth to live, learn, and grow.
What you’ll do:
- Attend monthly meetings (in-person or online) to discuss important issues, brainstorm ideas, and plan projects.

Work with a team of supportive peers and mentors in a respectful, inclusive space.

Share your thoughts on what youth need and help make it happen.

Organize and participate in youth-led events, workshops, and community initiatives.

Have real influence on programs and decisions that impact young people in Mississauga.
