Help Make River Grove More Youth-Friendly - Your Voice Matters!

Are you passionate about shaping the future of your community? Do you want your voice to be heard and help create positive change for youth across Mississauga? We need YOU!

Who we’re looking for:
Energetic, dedicated, and community-minded individuals, aged 12 to 24 who are full of ideas and want to make a meaningful difference.

What is the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)?
YAC is a dynamic team of young leaders who collaborate with city staff, local organizations, and the community to help make Mississauga a welcoming, inclusive, and exciting place for youth to live, learn, and grow.

What you’ll do:

  • Attend monthly meetings (in-person or online) to discuss important issues, brainstorm ideas, and plan projects.
  • Work with a team of supportive peers and mentors in a respectful, inclusive space.

  • Share your thoughts on what youth need and help make it happen.

  • Organize and participate in youth-led events, workshops, and community initiatives.

  • Have real influence on programs and decisions that impact young people in Mississauga.
