Mississauga Nature Stewards

The Mississauga Nature Steward Volunteer (referred to as MNS volunteers) may be involved with several different opportunities which support the Woodlands and Natural Areas team. MNS volunteers may volunteer independently in natural areas, following the appropriate training requirements, or alongside City staff.

If you are interested in helping to control invasive species, you can remove invasive plants such as Garlic Mustard, Periwinkle, Wintercreeper, English Ivy, Burdock and Bindweed. Volunteering site will be discussed before engaging in the role.

Eligibility

Prospective volunteer must be 14 years of age or older on the date of the first shift.
