Snow Angels
During adverse wintry conditions, Snow Angels play a vital role in keeping the moving by clearing snow and ice on the borough’s side streets. This helps the community to carry on safely with their day to day activities and is particularly important for elderly and vulnerable residents who may become isolated during periods of extreme weather
Community minded volunteers can act on their own or as part of a team and are provided with a free 20 kilogramme bag of grit, a branded high-visibility vest, protective gloves and a snow scoop or plastic shovel. Snow Angels are also provided with training and Healthy and Safety.
