Vancouver Heritage Foundation Board of Directors

The responsibilities of the Vancouver Heritage Foundation Board of Directors are to:
• Increase private and public sector involvement and investment in the conservation of heritage resources
• Distribute funds according to developed allocation processes
• Develop policies for foundation programs
• Manage the assets of the foundation
• Engage in fundraising activities
• Promote the foundation to the public,
sponsors, donors, and planned giving professionals

Vancouver Heritage Foundation (VHF) is a registered charity that promotes the appreciation and conservation of historic places in Vancouver. VHF does this by creating opportunities and resources to learn about Vancouver's history and heritage places, and providing practical support for the successful conservation of historic buildings and sites.

The board consists of up to 18 members:
• Up to 15 voting Directors are appointed by City Council from individuals with qualifications or backgrounds in a wide range of areas.
• Three non-voting members:
o One City Council member
o One Senior Heritage Planner
o Chair of the Heritage Commission

Every board member is eligible for reappointment. No member may serve more than 10 consecutive years.
