Digitisation (Scanning) Volunteer

Help us make the Historic Hendon collection available!

The RAF Museum collection represents the national memory of the RAF - at work and play, at war and at peace, in the UK and overseas. Approximately 3,000 documents, works of art, still and moving images relate to the Hendon site, and the stories of those who flew from or worked at Hendon from 1910 to the RAF station’s final closure in 1987.

Only around one third of the material has been scanned and digitised to date, leaving a large collection of Hendon-related material that could be influential in developing and delivering activities as part of our Centenary - Phase 2b: Historic Hendon project unavailable in digital form. We want you to help us to digitise the items by making images, to make these important items available again.
