Are you a budding storyteller with a love for animals and a flair for creative content? Join us at RSPCA for a rewarding work experience opportunity where you can put your writing, photography, and videography skills to use in sharing our mission.

Responsibilities:

Photography and Videography: Capture engaging photos and videos of our animals and the people who care for them. Use basic editing skills to create compelling visual stories that highlight our work.

Event Support: Bring your creative talents to events, tours, and corporate experience days, helping to document and showcase the day's activities.

Content Creation: Basic skills in photography and videography, with the ability to produce visually appealing content. Experience in editing and creating short videos using a smartphone.

Communication: Strong communication skills, with an openness to learning and engaging with others.

Animal Interaction: Confidence in working with domestic animals or a willingness to learn how to handle animals in a shelter environment. You’ll also get to interact directly with animals—our offices are home to some of our furry friends!

Independence: Ability to work independently on tasks, with strong time management skills to handle a fast-paced environment.

Physical Fitness: Be physically fit, as the role may involve lifting up to 10kg.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Teamwork: Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.

Commitment: A strong work ethic and dedication to the RSPCA's mission.

When Can I Volunteer?

Flexibility to participate in events and project activities, with some events occurring on weekends. The role will require approximately fortnightly engagement to start, with the potential for more involvement as needed.

This diverse and fulfilling role offers the chance to work closely with both people and animals, collaborate within a supportive team, and develop your creative skills. If you’re eager to make a difference while gaining valuable experience, we’d love to hear from you! Please email your expression of interest and you experience through to ashleigh.snow@rspcaqld.org.au
