Administration Assistant (Transcriber - Rescue Unit) | Wacol

Are you skilled at listening and typing? Do you have an interest and be willing to keep confidential when the Inspectors attend warrants and raids?

Then we need you! 

We are looking for flexible Volunteers to transcribe for us. You must have excellent, clear written communication skills. 

Day and time flexible.

If working from home you need to have internet and computer access. 

What to expect

You'll be volunteering from home, so this role is ideal for those who can work autonomously with speed and accuracy. You'll be transcribing information for the Rescue Unit.

What are the tasks?

The position involves clerical and administrative tasks, specifically transcribing.

What skills and characteristics do I need?

  • Ability to understand and precisely follow instruction

     

  • High level accuracy and attention to detail (including spelling and grammar)

     

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word

     

  • Ability to cope with details of animal neglect and abuse and keep these confidential (at all times) 

  • Excellent communication skills

When can I volunteer?

  • You'll be volunteering from home, so days and times are flexible.
  • You will need to attend an onsite orientation session prior to commencing your volunteer shifts.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of volunteering with us you will be required to purchase an RSPCA Volunteer T-shirt for $30 if you are volunteering onsite at Wacol.. It is also a requirement that before handling animals at the RSPCA you have an up to date Tetanus vaccination.
