Memorial Care Volunteer (Driving role)

We are on the lookout for some volunteers to join our Pets at Rest team!
This role supports our Pets at Rest team, which offers pet cremation services to individuals who have recently lost a beloved pet. The volunteers will play an important part in delivering memorial packages with care and compassion. It’s an emotional role, ideal for someone who is kind, empathetic, and understands the sensitivity required when interacting with grieving pet owners.

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (flexible availability, usually notified the day before)
Hours: 9 am - 3 pm
Location: The role will be based out of our Wacol Animal Care Campus but will also involve you travelling to various locations (pet owners' homes, vet clinics)

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver memorial packages to pet owners' homes or vet clinics with a compassionate, professional approach
  • Provide a comforting presence and clear communication to pet owners during deliveries
  • Coordinate delivery times with our team, with the possibility of managing the scheduling independently after a period of guidance
  • Uphold the values of care, respect, and kindness throughout every interaction

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s licence (essential)
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with emotional intelligence and care
