Student Leader Volunteer (Students 13-18) Leaders in Training (L.I.T.)

The “Leaders in Training” (L.I.T.) program is the only volunteer option available for students wanting to volunteer in Youth Engagement programs and services. Non-interested parties should seek alternative volunteer roles and opportunities elsewhere within Parks Tacoma.
The (L.I.T.) leadership program is open to (youth ages 13 -18) who are interested in increasing their potential by growing their overall leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities. The L.I.T. program is designed to support, develop, and increase one’s skills, and overall success through a variety of learn, play, and grow leadership opportunities. Newly acquired skills can potentially provide extra value and an edge in future job pursuits and placement. The program primarily operates out of Eastside, Norpoint, People’s and Star Centers.
