Bushcare Groups

If you are passionate about our local bushland and want to make new friends or reconnect with old ones, this volunteering opportunity could be for you!

Role Objective

To make a valuable contribution towards effective regeneration of local bushland areas.

Key Duties

  • Regenerate the bushcare site through removal / control of weeds and rubbish.
  • Planting and maintenance of vegetation.
  • Monitoring of vegetation through written and photographic records.
  • Attend regular working bees.

Necessary Skills and Experience

  • A genuine interest in the environment.
  • A personable demeanour and ability to interact comfortably, cheerfully and respectfully.
  • An ability to communicate respectfully and clearly.
  • An ability to work in a team environment.

Expected time commitment

Approximately 2-3 hours per month.
