Volunteer as a Corporate Group
Volunteering as a workplace helps to build teams and connect with one another outside of the office, whilst giving back to the local community.
Corporate volunteering opportunities include donation sorting, events, or at our Christmas Assistance Program.
By volunteering with Hobart City Mission, your workplace will help to support life-changing programs, including:
- Housing and support for young mums and their children & dads and their kids
- Food packs and financial support for people struggling to make ends meet
- Long term housing for people facing / experiencing homelessness
Some ways that your workplace can volunteer:
- Spend a half-day sorting donations at City Mission Op Shops Sorting Warehouse. You'll work in teams to sort through donations, and learn all about what makes a good second-hand donation (plus what happens to the not-so-good donations).
- We often have project-based volunteering opportunities in our programs. These are different every time but can include things such as helping to upgrade and maintain facilities for people facing homelessness, or sorting and handing out donations at the Christmas Assistance Program.
