Be there for young mums and their kids | Small Steps Support
We are seeking a community of compassionate volunteers to support young mums and their children at Small Steps.
Small Steps provides support and accommodation for twelve mums aged 15 – 25 and their children, who might otherwise be facing homelessness. You’ll be a friendly face at Small Steps, part of a committed volunteer team who help the residents and their children to become a family.
What you’ll do:

Provide support outside of normal business hours i.e. overnight and on weekends

Support mums when they are having minor medical issues (scrapes, bumps, teething) with their babies or children

Provide low level guidance or emotional support to help mums take care of themselves or their child

Make residents feel safe, secure and comfortable
When do we need you & where:

This is an “outside business hours” role and includes sleepover shifts or shifts through the day on the weekend & public holidays

The shifts are in New Town and you will have your own apartment to stay in
