Get out on the road with our Transport Team | Van Offsider
City Mission Op Shops services a large part of the community with nine stores in Southern Tasmania. All money raised through the sale of second-hand goods in our stores helps to fund important community programs... But we couldn’t get that stock or delivery without our trusty transport team.
By volunteering in this role, you are helping to achieve amazing outcomes including:
- Housing and support to young mums and their children & dads & their kids
- Food packs and financial support for people struggling to make ends meet
- Long term housing for people facing homelessness
What you’ll do:
- Head out in the City Mission Op Shops van to pick up furniture, clothing and other items from local donors
- Deliver donations from our Sorting Warehouse to our nine stores
- Work alongside the van driver, helping to navigate by giving directions and move items in and out of the van
- Be the face in our community
This is a great opportunity for:
