Christmas Assistance Program

Volunteer at the Christmas Assistance Program
Every Christmas, hundreds of families turn to Hobart City Mission for support with food, vouchers and gifts for children.
The Christmas Assistance Program (CAP) would not be possible without the help of volunteers and donors, who give food, toys and money.
By volunteering at Christmas Assistance Program you will help to:
- Give families and individuals food and vouchers so they can enjoy a special Christmas meal
- Gift children with toys to ensure they don't miss out - 1,200 children received a gift at CAP last year
- Create a positive spirit of giving in the lead up to Christmas
How you can help:
- Help hand out Christmas gifts and food packs to families and individuals on our CAP days
- Collect donated food and toys from local businesses in the weeks leading up to CAP
- Sort toys and food into categories ahead of CAP
- Other 'odd jobs' to help us prepare & pack down CAP
This is a great opportunity for:
- Individuals looking for a one-off volunteering opportunity
- Corporate or community groups
- People with a love of all things Christmas!
