BSL Stores  are a place for community connection, where people from all walks of life visit to find friendship, support, and local resources, among an exceptional collection of pre-loved bargains. When you volunteer with us, you'll help extend the life of second-hand goods, while ensuring we can continue to deliver the delightful op shopping experience we are known for.

Our vibrant BSL Stores are packed full of great finds and interesting pieces. With a wide range of quality pre-loved clothing, homewares, furniture and more, we’re proud to offer low-cost every-day essentials and hidden gems for discerning shoppers.

What will I do?

As a Volunteer Retail Store Assistant, you’ll help provide quality customer service to the public, participating in the day-to-day operations of the store, assisting both paid staff and volunteers to achieve daily budgets.

You’ll cover a wide range of duties suited to your skills, from sorting donations to creating vibrant displays, supporting back of house operations and assisting customers.

While the daily tasks may change from time to time, our wonderful store managers will ensure you have all the training, support and guidance you need to feel confident while learning the ropes in a new position.

All successful candidates will undergo a robust screening process prior to starting in a volunteer role.
