Hazardous Weather Awareness
Volunteers provide educational information such as Hurricane Preparedness, Earthquake Preparedness, Natural Hazards, and specific environmental topics of need to the community. This could be at an Expo event where volunteers share information to the public.
Mission Statement
The Upstate Public Health Reserve Corps is a community based regional corps composed of medical and non-medical volunteers from Anderson, Abbeville, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union counties. The primary mission of the Upstate PHRC unit is to augment and support the regional public health emergency response during times of disaster and public health emergencies. During times of non-emergency, we increase the resiliency of our community to address and recover from disasters by participating in public health initiatives and community preparedness trainings.
