Front Desk Attendant

Position Description:

  • Helping assist the staff of the Hope Center Shelter
  • Answer telephones
  • Direct phone calls to proper staff
  • Answer basic questions
  • Take messages when needed
  • Any administrative tasks/needs:
    • Send and receive faxes
    • Organizing
    • Etc.

Qualifications:

  • A firm commitment to the Mission of The Salvation Army
  • Good telephone skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Warm and friendly personality (good people skills)

Hours needed:

  • 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
    • Hours tailored to suit individual volunteers availability
  • Monday through Friday

Atmosphere:

  • A shelter for those who have hit hard times and are facing homelessness
