Position Description:

• Ideal volunteer opportunity for small groups
• Prepare the evening meal at The Hope Center
• Cook what we have on-hand or bring in your favorite specialty ingredients

Qualifications:

• A firm commitment to the Mission of The Salvation Army
• Food preparation skills
• Prepare meals for 20-40 people including the Hope Center residents and members of the community
• Good People skills

Hours needed:

• Weekdays:
  • Monday through Friday: meal is served at 5:30, so would need to start in plenty of time to be ready
• Weekends:
  • Call for availability of dates

Atmosphere:

• A shelter for those who have hit hard times and are facing homelessness
