Our RSPCA NSW Port Macquarie Op Shop offers a range of clothing, home décor, kitchenware and so much more, with all funds raised going back to the local volunteer branch to fund community programs to support people and pets in need.
As a Volunteer Retail Assistant, you will be a part of all things retail; serving customers, stock and making products look presentable. This role is suited to applicants who have a strong background in customer service or retail and want to contribute to improving animal welfare in your local community.
What does the role look like?
- Serve customers at the store, process payments with cash and Eftpos
- Maximise sales by educating community members about the local programs and how the funds from sales continue these programs running.
- Sorting donated goods and organising merchandise for sale
- General cleaning and managing store presentation
What are the requirements?
- At least 18 years of age
- Customer service skills
- Previous retail experience welcome
- Professional, positive and presentable
- Ability to lift over 10kg
Time Commitment
We are looking for people who can volunteer once a week on a set roster. We are open Monday – Saturday and people take on a shift of either 8:45am – 12:30pm or 12:15pm – 4:00pm.
