Come and join our Shoalhaven Volunteer Branch and learn about the organisation and how we play a vital role. As a Branch Volunteer, you can assist in roles that are frequently involved or on a flexible, ad-hoc basis. You will join a group of like-minded people and gain experience in fundraising while helping people and their pets in the community.
What are some of the the tasks?
- Organising donations and preparing them for use at stalls/fundraising events.
- Coordinating with other volunteers regarding events and market stalls.
- Understanding organisational information and promoting it to people interested.
- Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines.
- Understand and comply with RSPCA NSW policies and procedures.
- You will be invited to attend meetings to discuss important matters for the Branch or Supporter Group should you wish to join.
What are the requirements?
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Willing to gain understanding of RSPCA NSW or Charitable organisations
- Ability to lift up to 10kg
- Ability to follow direction, to work within a team and work independently (without supervision)
- Strong verbal, reading and writing skills
- Passion for interacting with people and animals
- Positive attitude
