Sydney (Yagoona) Adoption Centre - Community Veterinarian
Community Veterinarian – RSPCA NSW Sydney Adoption Centre, 201 Rookwood Road, Yagoona NSW 2199
The RSPCA NSW provides Healthy Pet Days, with the assistance of local councils, TAFE NSW, Vet Beyond Borders, Petbarn Foundation, GreenX and more. We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help members of public in support of our Community Outreach team which provides discounted desexing and vaccinations to people that hold either a pension card, health care card or concession cards.
What are the tasks?
- Giving health advice to clients
- Performing health checks, vaccinations and parasite prevention
- Assist with microchipping
- Provide further support to the Outreach team
What are the requirements?
- Experienced veterinarian with relevant qualifications (essential)
- Authorised microchip implanter (essential)
- 18 years and over
- Able to stay overnight and travel regionally with the team (desirable)
Time commitment
We’re looking for volunteers who can attend on an as-need-basis. Our Healthy Pet Days are held throughout year and we will provide as much notice when organising the events.
