Trading Board Director




Job Purpose

To provide good governance and leadership for effective decision making, accountability and compliance with relevant legislation.

Main Duties

To attend Trading Board meetings and other meetings as necessary.

 To contribute actively to the Board’s role in giving firm strategic direction to the company and evaluating performance against agreed targets.

 To safeguard the good name and values of the company.

 To enable financial stability of the company through the support of trading activity.

 To use their specific experience and expertise, as and when required, to give support to management through ad hoc meetings or committees.

Person Specification

A willingness to devote time when needed.

 Support staff team as appropriate.

 Good, independent judgment.

 An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of directorship.

 An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

 Some knowledge of the insurance industry an advantage.
