Citizens Advice Guildford are looking to recruit and train new assessors. As an assessor, you will be the first point of contact for clients who approach our service in person, over the phone or by email. You will carry out an initial assessment with the client to help identify the best way our service can help them. This could be by providing them with information, signposting or referring them to another organisation, or making an appointment for them to come back to us for detailed advice and support.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge and enjoys working with people. The work is very varied and you have a real chance to make a difference in someone’s life. We are looking for someone who can commit to a day (or two half) days a week and we provide comprehensive training and support as well as a very friendly working environment. We will also cover your travel expenses.
Citizens Advice Guildford provide a free, independent and impartial advice service to the local community and last year helped around 4,000 people with over 11,000 issues. As well as helping people with the individual issues we also campaign for policy change at both a local and national level.
We are looking for people from all backgrounds with the aim of our volunteer team properly reflecting the community in which we work. For more information and/or apply please click the ‘Fill in application’ button.
