National Trust Community and Learning Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers who love the outdoors and want to share their passion for nature with visiting school and community groups. Our volunteers lead groups of up to 20 school children in activities such as pond dipping, den building, bug hunting and nature trails. Mostly we use the Learning centre on Witley common, but we also run events at Frensham litltler Pond and The Devil's Punch Bowl. One day you may be splashing in puddles with pre-schoolers, whilst the next day you might be supporting A-Level Biology students to complete a biodiversity study. We also run toddler groups, Easter Egg hunts and other events. You don't need an encyclopedic knowledge of nature, just a love of the outdoors and a willingness to work on a seasonal and ad hoc basis. Some of our volunteers are with us for every event, whilst others join us when their busy schedules allow. We look forward to welcoming new members of our friendly team.
