Computer support volunteer
halow supports young adults aged 16+ with a learning disability to live independent lives and become more involved in their local community.
Description of the Role:
Do you enjoy helping other people, have some knowledge of computer skills or want to help make a difference? By volunteering for halow project, your role will be to assist our young people to follow instructions from an IT tutor to support them to develop their computer skills. You will assist the young people with their computer literacy skills and be enthusiastic and encouraging of their ideas. Some sessions involve game making, robotics, making presentations, work skills, how to use emails, among many others.
Any person recruited to volunteer by halow must have an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this is paid for by halow.
Covid Safe working
Our volunteering opportunities are in a covid safe environment and we ask that all applicants are willing to take PCR tests weekly which will be provided by halow project.
