Oxfam Books - Cranleigh

Lead Online Volunteer

We at Oxfam Books, Cranleigh, are currently looking to recruit new volunteers to help us implement our Oxfam Online Shop (OOS). Oxfam opened the first and only online charity shop in 2005. The OOS has thousands of unique and interesting items for sale which are all donated through Oxfam's 620 shops currently operating in the UK by our generous donors. We are looking for volunteers who can help with listing items for sale on our website, who are able to photograph items, write descriptions and manage the posting process of sold goods.

No experience is necessary - we will train you in everything you'd like to learn and support is always on hand. A love of books is a bonus though!

Whether you've some free time to spare, would like to meet new people or be part of a team or are looking to build a CV after some time away from work, this is a great way to meet new people, boost your confidence as well as gain valuable transferable skills.

We estimate that each volunteer shift worked (4 hours on average) provides Oxfam with enough income to provide clean drinking water for two people in Ethiopia - your free time really does make a huge difference to people's lives.

If you'd like to join us, or have a chat about what's involved apply via this advert or drop into the shop and ask for Jen.

Job Type: Volunteer

For life without poverty, for everyone, for good.

Oxfam saves lives in disasters. We get clean water running, help people earn a living, grow food and send children to school. We stand up for the rights of women everywhere. And we speak out against injustices that keep people poor. With your help we fight poverty now - and beat it for good.
