Volunteer Project Manager
Volunteer Project Manager
We’re looking for someone tenacious and determined with great organisational and communication skills, who can help us with our search for additional premises. Parity for Disability is a local charity at the forefront of ensuring a good quality of life for people with multiple disabilities, and we need to expand to meet the demands of our growing waiting list. The right person will be able to commit the necessary number of hours a week to working with us in researching potential new day service sites in a 10 mile radius of Farnborough. The volunteer will be working with relevant members of our office and services staff team, researching and investigating potential sites.
Parity provides vital services for people with multiple disabilities who live in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and beyond. Parity’s three day services in Farnborough, Camberley and Mytchett provide the specialist staff, equipment and technologies so people aged 18+ can enjoy their chosen activities, friendships and networks, use and build their skills, enjoy amenities and facilities in the surrounding community and beyond – in fact, do what everyone else is doing. Currently, 54 people (called students) use our day services. There are an increasing number of people waiting to access them. We urgently need to find more space.
This is a great volunteer role for someone looking to apply their experience within an established, award-winning local charity and be part of a dedicated team strengthening individuals, families and communities in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and beyond.
