Possible areas of work

To assist in the development of schools’ learning sessions and resources.

To assist in organising and maintaining the education resources room.

To assist in the development and general updating of the contents of the museum’s loans boxes.

To assist with general research for the purposes of the learning programme.

To assist with general administration of the museum learning team, including filing and assisting with the evaluating the programme.

The purpose of this role

To support the museum’s learning programme.

To help improve and enhance schools’ learning experience.

To act as an interpreter of aspects of our collections in a friendly and engaging way.

Knowledge, skills and experience that would be helpful

Administrative skills.

Good organisational skills.

The ability to research topics, as directed.

Interest or enthusiasm for history and/or enthusing others’ interest in history.

Interest or experience in education and learning.
