Fundraising Group Volunteer
Jigsaw's new Volunteer Fundraising Group will be a small team of volunteers who will work together to support Jigsaw’s fundraising activities and connect with the local community. As a small charity, Jigsaw doesn’t have a big fundraising or communications team, so just a little bit of your time will go a long way!
Working together as a group will offer you more opportunities to use your initiative and creativity as well as providing an additional social element – a great way to make new friends whilst making a difference.
It will be up to you as a group to decide what you'd like to work on. Here are some examples of activities you could get involved in:
• Put on local fundraising events, such as a quiz night or 5-a-side tournament
• Work with our adult learners to put out and pick up collection tins at local businesses
• Carry out talks at schools or community groups
• Arrange, run or support street/public place collections
• Source donated goods (e.g. for raffle prizes) as required
No specific skills or experience are required - if you're willing to learn, enjoy working as part of a team, and are passionate about improving opportunities for people with autism then get in touch!
Once you express your interest, we’ll invite you to a group meeting. This will be a chance to meet other group members, discuss ideas and decide if the group is right for you. The first meeting will take place in Autumn/Winter 2020 either remotely or at Jigsaw's site on Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh.
After your first meeting you’ll need to participate in a short training session about fundraising on behalf of Jigsaw.
All out-of-pocket expenses for travel will be reimbursed.
