Who we are
Farncombe Day Centre provides a safe and friendly environment for older people living in the Farncombe and Godalming area. The Day Centre's services available include a two-course lunch, coffee and tea, minibus pick-up and return, chiropody, hairdressing, assisted bathing, social activities and occasional outings.
The Centre is located next to St. John's Church and opposite the Co-op in the middle of Farncombe. It is close to the railway station.
About the role
The Executive Committee, which has overall responsibility for the Day Centre policy, management and operations, is seeking a new Secretary to take Minutes of its meetings and deal with a small amount of correspondence. The Committee meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
The Secretary will need to be able to use Word, Excel and send/receive emails and documents. Experience in taking minutes, reporting on meetings and writing formal letters would be an advantage.
You will be asked to complete an application form and to have an informal discussion as part of the interview process. References will be taken up and you will have a trial period.

After a trial period, the Centre may require a DBS check, which will be paid for by the Centre.
