Oxygen Therapy Operators
Organisation Description:
The Samson Centre for MS is a self-funded charity providing physiotherapy, exercise and oxygen therapy for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
Description:
The position is within our dedicated oxygen therapy room where our members can receive pressurised oxygen within an oxygen chamber in order to help alleviate some MS symptoms.
We are looking for volunteers to work alongside our Lead Operator to learn how to operate the oxygen chambers and help members get in and out of the chambers.
You will be required to understand the record keeping which is kept on the PC by the Lead Operator and to be able to put users at their ease.
Skills/Qualifications:
- You will be required to have empathy and patience.
- A willingness to learn something new.
- Experience of working with patients in a health related capacity may help but is not essential
- 18 +
Training: Full training will be given.
Directions: The Samson Centre is located within the Guildford Waterside Centre on Riverside just off Stoughton Road. Public transport is accessible and free parking is available on site.
