Shere Museum is an small independent museum which is open all year(weekends only during the winter). The picturesque village of Shere is located midway between Guildford and Dorking, just off the A25. The museum has displays which illustrate and explain the history and development of the parish of Shere.
Join our team of Museum Stewards. We are looking for volunteers to celebrate and promote the history and development of the parish of Shere. Could you spare a few hours a fortnight? We are looking for volunteers:
- To welcome visitors to the Museum
- Chat to visitors about the Museum
- Look after the public ares of the Museum to ensure security, cleanliness and tidiness.
- Possibility of becoming involved with special visits:schools;other groups;guided walks
The Museum is open Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays afternoons all year, Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 3pm April - October.
There is extensive parking behind the Museum, a regular bus service to Guildford and Dorking and Gomshall Station is 1 mile away.
