Crafting Wellness Group

Crafting Wellness is looking for a Treasurer to help us manage our finances, grant applications and bank account. If you'd like to help run our community group, have a say in decisions/future projects, handle our bank account and financial reports and be a part of combatting lonliness and mental wellbieng in the Guildford, Surrey area consider applying to Crafting Wellness!

This role can be done remotely although treasurer may be required to attend in person to co-sign for cheques, bank accounts and other Crafting Wellness documents that require multiple signatories with notice (Crafting Wellness operates from Guildford, Surrey). 

Applicants must be over 18, hold at least 1 valid UK ID (drivers licence/passport etc.) and have a permanent UK address (named on utilities and/or tenancy agreement) 

Applicants must have experience managing finances.

Minimum 1 reference required.

Will need a DBS check (we can supply one if you do not currently have a valid DBS certificate).

Supporting Community Wellbeing Through Crafts

We are the Crafting Wellness Group based in Guildford, Surrey (UK). We have noticed that there aren’t many third spaces to socialise without some sort of cost or purchase and with the rates of loneliness on the rise it feels like the right time to create these spaces ourselves.

Our intention is to provide free social groups in Guildford where you can bring your current project or learn a new craft.

There are several studies that show hobbies such as knitting or crochet can help soothe your nervous system, increase concentration and support fine motor skills. 

Our social groups and workshops are open to anyone over the age of 16 with any skill level. We will do our best to make the groups as accessible as possible, we are disability confident and LGBTQ+ friendly.

We also support seasonal working.
