Volunteer at Community Allotment

What you’ll be doing
Our allotment is a calm, positive space where people can get outdoors, learn new skills, and take a break from day-to-day pressures. As an Allotment Support Volunteer, you’ll help create and maintain this space alongside staff and the people who use our services.
It’s a relaxed, hands-on role with plenty of opportunity for conversation and connection.
Tasks might include:
- Supporting with general gardening tasks (planting, weeding, watering)
- Helping maintain a tidy and welcoming allotment space
- Encouraging and working alongside service users
- Sharing knowledge or learning together — no expertise needed
- Having a chat while you work — it’s just as important as the task
What we’re looking for:
- Someone who enjoys being outdoors
- Happy to get involved in practical tasks
- Friendly and encouraging with others
- No gardening experience needed — just a willingness to join in
What you’ll get from it:
- Time outdoors in a relaxed environment
- The chance to support others in a positive, hands-on way
- Being part of something that grows (literally and personally)
Mission Statement
