Fitness support volunteer

halow supports young adults aged 16+ with a learning disability to live independent lives and become more involved in their local community.

Description of the Role: 
Do you enjoy being active, or have an interest in health and fitness? By volunteering for halow project, your role will be to assist our young people to follow exercise instructions from a personal trainer. You will encourage the young people to get involved in the fitness classes and assist them to use gym equipment safely. Occasionally the group may attend fitness centres such as AirHop or The Lido and you will be required to help at these activities as appropriate.

DSB check
Any person recruited to volunteer by halow must have an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this is paid for by halow.

Covid Safe working
Our volunteering opportunities are in a covid safe environment and we ask that all applicants are willing to take PCR tests weekly which will be provided by halow project.
