Surrey Independent Visitor Service

We are looking for men and women volunteers to befriend children in care. 

We ask for a commitment of two years and you would visit the child once per month for approximately 5 hours, usually at a weekend.

You would take the child to do an activity such as pottery painting, pizza, bowling or anything you both enjoy.  

We hold a two-day training course - see details below: 

We ask that volunteers complete an enhanced DBS check as well as taking up references.  Independent Visitors have their expenses reimbursed and we ask that you have access to a car.

We have children placed in every area of Surrey.

We have two open evenings this year, one on 13th October 2020 in Woking and one on the 21st October 2020 in Redhill, and the training course will be held in Leatherhead on the 7th and 14th November.
