Rainbow Trust Children's Charity

Events Team Volunteer

o you want to have fun, meet new people and help a local charity?

As live events start to return, we are recruiting for volunteers to join our Events Team, helping Rainbow Trust by representing us at a wide range of fundraising and awareness events.

Every day as an Events Volunteer is different - you could be collecting donations at a fundraising concert, running a stall at a Halloween event, wrapping presents at Christmas or joining one of our noisy cheer squads at one of the many sporting events we attend too.

We simply could not run the huge range of events we do without the support, energy and enthusiasm of our loyal volunteers, so why not join our team? This is a great opportunity for people who work or students who are not able to make a regular commitment.

Once you are signed up as an Event Volunteer, you'll be sent regular mailings listing all of our upcoming events that you can get involved in. Please note that as we are still in the process of rebuilding our events programme, there won't be a full calendar of events just yet, but we hope to offer a range of events for you to volunteer at over the coming months and into 2022.

We welcome volunteers from age 16+, if you are under 18, you will need permission from a parent or carer to volunteer with us.

To join our events team, or if you have any questions, please contact our Volunteering team on volunteering@rainbowtrust.org.uk

Mission Statement

Home

Rainbow Trust provides emotional and practical support for families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

This support comes from Family Support Workers who perform a role most people couldn’t imagine.  They maintain a sense of normality for the family by helping with hospital trips, performing household duties, taking the siblings to school and in many cases providing care during the final stages of a child’s life, helping with funeral arrangements and bereavement support.

Rainbow Trust has nine care teams across England in Surrey, North East London and Essex, Central London, West London, County Durham, Cumbria, Manchester, Swindon and Southampton. Last year they supported 1,361 families.

Rainbow Trust's vision is that one day all terminally ill children and their families will have access to a Rainbow Trust Carer.
