Wednesday PM Bookshop Assistant
We at Oxfam Books, Cranleigh, are currently looking to recruit new volunteers to join our friendly, welcoming team to work on a Wednesday afternoon. Currently we struggle to open consistent hours due to lack of volunteers. If you are able to help, even on an ad hoc basis, we would love to hear from you.
No experience is necessary - we will train you in everything you'd like to learn and support is always on hand. A love of books is a bonus though!
Whether you've some free time to spare, would like to meet new people or be part of a team or are looking to build a CV after some time away from work, this is a great way to meet new people, boost your confidence as well as gain valuable transferable skills, such as customer service, admin, cash handling and operating a till.
We estimate that each volunteer shift worked (4 hours on average) provides Oxfam with enough income to provide clean drinking water for two people in Ethiopia - your free time really does make a huge difference to people's lives.
If you'd like to join us, or have a chat about what's involved apply via this advert or drop into the shop and ask for Jen.
