Fundraising School Speaker Volunteer
We need an experienced Fundraising School Speaker Volunteer to help develop our schools programme in the area. Your support will help us raise awareness of Parkinson's and our work. Working with the Regional Fundraiser you will give talks and assemblies to children, young people and their teachers.
The School Speaker Volunteer role will involve contacting local schools to arrange staff speaker sessions, giving school talks to classes and assemblies and attending cheque presentations. You will deliver short, informal talks on Parkinson's to school staff and encourage fundraising for Parkinson's UK. You will then maintain the relationship you've developed with the schools you've visited.
For this role you will need to have an interest in Parkinson's and/or education and be confident in speaking to children and young people. You will have the ability to be engaging and persuasive. as well as have tact and diplomacy.
Being a School Speaker Volunteer will provide you with the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to Parkinson's UK and support our vital work. You will gain enjoyment from meeting new people in your community and working as part of our friendly fundraising team. You will have the opportunity to develop new and existing skills, and we will support you and provide training where needed.
