Would you like to gain valuable experience of gallery/exhibitions/charity work?
An ideal training platform for any individual wanting to gain flexible experience of the creative sector. We are looking for enthusiastic gallery volunteers who wish to either support a local arts organisation and/or gain experience of some/all of the following tasks:
- Working directly with the public
- Helping deliver the PR and marketing
- Supporting customer service and clients
- Installing and dismounting exhibitions
- Editing an exhibition catalogue
- Assisting a professional artist during education and local community workshops
- Supporting events including private views and workshops.
We love to hear if you have any special interests and offer flexible hours that suits to your timetable.
We regret that we are unable to accept work experience applications from anyone under 18 years of age.
We have a Memorandum of Understanding with the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, and welcome students for industry placements that are part of their degree.
The successful applicants will have a keen interest in working in retail arts and crafts, has a polite manner and basic IT skills and works well on own initiative and in a team. If you have any special skills or interests, please include these in your application.

The New Ashgate Gallery Trust is a charity specialising in the curation and promotion of arts and craft. Established in 1959, NAG has supported emerging artists and encouraged participation in community through free exhibitions, craft workshops and professional practice seminars.
We curate more than 20 annual exhibitions with some of the best artists working on painting, print, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass and wood.
