Youth Team Volunteer(Guildford) for St John's Ambulance- Posted 21.11.2019
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support and empower young people. You will be working as part of a team of youth leader for either a badger or cadet unit, or both if you would like! Badgers are aged 7 - 10 and Cadets are aged 11-17.
The units run for 2 hours in the evening, each unit has a different start and finish time but they all range between 6pm - 10pm. Remember that it will be 2 hours in between these times, if you want to know a specific unit time please enquire.
We have Badger and Cadet units all over London and we are looking to open a badger and cadet unit in Crystal Palace Park Rd, London, SE26 6EG.
Some of the activities you will be doing with either the cadets or badgers include:
• Teaching First Aid
• Games - relay race, stuck in the mud, deer spotter, broom hockey. lava river etc.
• Any other activities that you think will best improve their leadership skills, teamwork skills and confidence.
• There is also the opportunity to go on the regional youth camp.
You do not need to have any experience as you will be trained for free! There is an activity guide that you will have access to but you and the youths can develop these activities and also come up with your own ideas. A DBS check is required but this can be done for free once you apply.
We just need to know, can you inspire the next generation? Do you want to help young people learn new life skills, experiences and qualifications? If yes, then please APPLY today!
