Servery Volunteer at Farncombe Day Centre

Age Concern Farncombe runs a Day Centre for older people.

About the role

In this role you will serve tea, coffee and snacks to Day Centre users from about 9.30-11.30am. At 12 noon you will help serve a two-course hot lunch to Day Centre users. You could also assist people with sight loss in playing bingo after lunch. 

The servery is also open in the afternoons from 13:45 - 15:30 approximately for tea/coffee and cakes. 

The servery is usually run by 2-3 volunteers at any one time.

About you

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with older  people and is comfortable with older people. Training will be provided.  Ideally we would like someone who is able to work on a regular one morning/week basis .  But we are also looking for people who can cover when regular volunteers are away or ill.

Directions

The Farncombe Day Centre is located next to St John's Church and opposite the Co-op Food Centre in the middle of Farncombe. It is also close to the railway station.

After a trial period, the Centre may require a DBS check, which will be paid for by the Centre.
